Get Some Healthy Greens In Your Juice
If your brand new to juicing, begin with a base juice of carrots and apples. I suggest using about one cored apple and about five carrots per person.
I hope this will be the start of your juicing adventures, this healthful drink will serve you well because it's packed with such essential nutrients as beta carotenes. Once you have your base juice you can add a different item like a rib of celery, or a little something else very mild and great tasting. Then work upwards to including more things. Try a tiny handful of parsley or some ginger.
Step up to bigger and more powerful flavours, adding in tiny handfuls of additional veggies at first, until your taste buds get used to new and exciting flavours . A beet is a fantastic thing to add. It makes the juice a gorgeous colour, it's rich in iron, and the leaves are particularly wealthy in vitamins and minerals.
As with the apple/carrot base, don't hesitate to toss in fruit if you need to sweeten any of your juices.
Here is a secret recipe formula to get you on your way
Ingredients: 2 apples, 1 medium cucumber, 1 lemon 1/2 cup parsley, chopped 1 rib of celery, 1 pince of peeled ginger, 2 big handfuls of healthy greens Spinach
Place all the ingredients in a juicer and push the button! You can also add some ice if you want too, try it and experiment to decide on what you like best. Serve in your favourite glass, or mug!
Like I said experiment and adjust the ingredients to your own taste. Maybe you really like the cucumber taste. Excellent! Add a few more cucumbers instead.
When you start making green juice, I recommend a few more apples than usual until you get used to the taste. There is absolutely no complete need to start out with something that tastes like pond water. Start with something with a fruit/sweet taste. After that, if you want you can include a few more greens and less fruit. That's the reason why green smoothies are popular - they are most of the time 55% or more of fruit, and 45% or less of vegetables.
The dark green colour is a great sign that you have more than sufficient healthy greens in the juice. As long as it's green, you will know that you're getting the excellent alkaline rewards of greens. Go try it out today see you soon
