Not so many people use microwave ovens anymore and they take care about things like where they buy the vegetables and fruit, and whether it's organic or not. One can buy organic food and that is great, but if you overcook it or deep fry it, it'll lose all its healthy features. Preparation of food is what matters apart from what you're actually preparing. </p>
<p>Cooks all over the world use Dutch ovens, but you don't have to be a professional chef to use one of these bad boys. You just need to be passionate about food, and to discover all the things Dutch ovens are great for. One of them is the health aspect of dishes made of cast iron. They are not sensitive to chipping, so you can freely stir them with metal utensils, unlike aluminum or Teflon dishes. Even if you do get some of the iron in your food, know that it's healthy and that you probably don't get the sufficient intake of iron in your food daily. </p>
<p>If you're debating about whether to get a Dutch oven or not, we'll try to help you. It will be a useful addition to you cooking collection, and may replace many other cooking vessels, because in a Dutch oven, you can make everything. Believe it or not, soups and chowders made in Dutch ovens rule! Have you ever had sour made over fire? I bet you didn't, and the experience is great. You can also bake bread in a Dutch oven, and make deserts, such as various cakes. For those who don't have a sweet tooth, we still recommend Dutch ovens for meat and vegetable preparation, because the food will be nicely processed and full of aromas. </p>
<p>If you're thinking about purchasing a Dutch oven, not only will you get a dish that is suitable for cooking in and outside, you will also get a dish which can retain heat for a long time and which can also be used for baking, boiling and frying. Anther great thing about it is the fact that there is no protective coating like Teflon, so there is no way you'll have some of it in your food. This is the reason is recommended to use these types of dishes with wooden or rubber utensils, and you won't have to worry about this with a Dutch oven. </p>
<p>In these times it's rather difficult to eat in a healthy way, and if you don't really take care of what you eat, it'll just build up to your stress and other bad things the modern era brought, and you may experience some severe health problems. Keep in mind that you don't have to spend an eternity in the kitchen in order to eat healthy, but also keep in mind that microwaving food isn't healthy at all, although it saves time. A Dutch oven can become a real good friend to both you and your family, because these ovens serve many purposes, which you'll start discovering once you start using them. </p>
<p>Seeing as we live in time of global warming, of destroyed ozone layer, and many other things which are really worrying, we more and more think about things we can do for ourselves. One of them is food. After all, what you eat is what you are. Food preparation is very important, and a good cast iron Dutch oven can be a really good friend when it comes too cooking, but keep in mind that if you want to go healthy, use more vegetables and fruit, avoid dairy (creamy dishes are not healthy), fat and much oil. A Dutch oven will retain all the steam of your food, so you'll get all the juices, minerals and vitamins right on your plate and palate.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In these times of superior awareness of the shortages in the world and the recent economic problems in the whole world, but particularly in the wealthy Western countries, which are the powerhouses of most Third World countries' progress, people are more aware of waste. It is a sin again to throw away food, like it was 50 years ago.</p>
<p>This can only be a good thing although it is a disgrace that it took an international financial crisis to make us recall the lesson. These days, waste of any kind is greeted with public censure and so it is at home too. Most people spend a very high proportion of their outgoings on food and so anyone who wants to cut back, has to first look to this quarter to make a saving.</p>
<p>However, saving does not inevitably mean 'not buying', it can and should mean 'not throwing away'. In other words, prepare your food and do not let your food go off. Preparation and storage are the key words. With that thought in mind, here are a few of my tips for preparing and storing food correctly.</p>
<p>Bread - tons of bread is wasted every day, because it has gone stale or mouldy and yet it is totally unnecessary. Keep your bread in the deep freezer and not in the bread bin. A whole loaf will slice frozen with the proper knife and sliced bread will come away slice by slice. There is no need to defrost as it only takes a minute or two at room temperature.</p>
<p>Bananas - most people understand that banana skins turn black if kept in the fridge, but most people do not know that bananas can be frozen solid. Yes, the skins will still go black, but the fruit will be undamaged.</p>
<p>Cake - to stop cake from going stale, store it in a tin with an apple. The moisture in the apple will stop the cake from going hard.</p>
<p>Watercress - to prevent watercress from wilting, store it upside down in water, that is stalks up.</p>
<p>Salt - salt often gets damp, particularly if stored in a steamy kitchen without sufficient ventilation, but you do not have to worry about that if you put two or three grains of rice in the salt cellar. They will soak up the moisture before the salt.</p>
<p>Cereal - prevent cereal from going soft by resealing the bag with a few clothes pegs. Your cereal will last weeks more.</p>
<p>Jam - boiling jam produces a scum which has to be skimmed off and thrown away. This wastes jam, goodness and flavour. However, if you whisk a knob of butter into the mixture at the last minute the scum will not appear, saving time and goodness.</p>
<p>Funnel - you always seem to need a funnel when you do not have one. Then you vow to get a funnel for the next time. Do not bother. Just cut the top nine inches off a plastic bottle of cola. It makes an excellent throw-away funnel. Some of the larger bottles even have a handle on them which is even better.</p>

<p>Did you know that the oregano plant has many medicinal uses? Have you heard of a rhyme about the wild oregano oil? I haven't heard a rhyme but its many health benefits had been talked about a number of times.</p>
<p>Wild oregano grows on mountainous areas where pollution is unlikely. The wild oregano oil is extracted from the leaves of the plant. The oregano oil is known to be a strong anti biotic useful in fighting and limiting the growth of infectious and disease-carrying microbes.</p>
<p>Bacteria are known to cause humans different infections and diseases. However not all bacteria pose a threat to our health. It is better that one has a strong immune system to fight off bacteria and avoid catching the disease they carry with them. If infections caused by fungi are not treated this could cause fatality as these fungi could travel to the brain and cause more serious infections. <p>Our medical researchers have not found a cure yet for AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. This is a viral infection caused by HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus. There is much effort in researches and studies focusing in finding a cure for AIDS. Viral infections can be as minor as the common cold and as severe as AIDS. The wild oregano oil aids in eliminating viruses and stopping their reproduction by strengthening our immune system. A virus is not a living organism and feeds on a living host in order to reproduce otherwise it can not survive.</p>
<p>The anti inflammatory and anaesthetic properties are helpful in preventing swelling and soreness as well as relieving pain. It as well has anti parasitic property which is helpful in fighting parasites. Some parasites are found inside our body. Parasites in our body mostly come from the food we eat, especially, uncooked or processed meat. The anti aging property of the wild oregano oil helps slow down aging helping you maintain that youthful glow.</p>

While the produce at home on your own variant from Kraft or Annie's is fairly harmless, the mac and cheese you get at a diner usually is not. The Kids' Mac and Cheese meal from California Pizza Kitchen, by way of example is frighteningly unhealthy. Just one particular order of this food contains almost forty grams of saturated fat, over sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and more than one thousand calories. <p>Most people think that a vegetarian sandwich is probably the healthiest thing they can order through a fast food franchise.
